Day 1: Hobart (HD)
Welcome to Hobart, the gateway to the delights of the Apple Isle! On arrival at the airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel located on the waterfront in the heart of the city. Day 2: Hobart (FB,L)
Today there is the opportunity to explore this picturesque city on your Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE activity. Choose from: (1) cruise through the sheltered southern waterways to Peppermint Bay for a delicious lunch; or (2) take a private tour of Hobart and the Huon Valley and taste some Huon Valley delicacies; or (3) take a tour of Australia’s oldest brewery, the Cascade Brewery, Woodstock gardens and the Cascade Museum; or (4) take the MONA ferry and tour the MONA museum of Modern and Old Art (Must be pre-booked).Day 3: Hobart - Strahan (FB,D)
Depart Hobart this morning and discover some of the stunning delights of this lush green island. Heading west travel to Mt Field National Park, declared a national park in 1916. Included is an easy walk through the lush rainforest to view stunning Russell Falls. SCENIC ENRICH: Included is your visit to the amazing Wall in the Wilderness, a history in the making, depicting the history of the Central Highlands region being carved from three metre high panels. Enter the southern part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage area for an Included visit to Lake Saint Clair, Australia’s deepest natural freshwater lake. Day 4: Strahan - Cradle Mountain (FB,L,D)
Today is a highlight as you board the Lady Jane Franklin II for your Included cruise through the breath taking Franklin-Lower Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage area. SCENIC ENRICH: On board enjoy the privacy and luxury of the Captain’s Premier Upper Deck with plush leather seating, a private viewing deck, and a dedicated nature guide. Indulge in a gourmet lunch of local delicacies complemented with Tasmanian wines and beers. Cruise through Macquarie Harbour to Hell’s Gates, where the harbour meets the ocean. Travel along the serene Gordon River and visit Heritage Landing for a guided walk through the rainforest amongst trees that are thousands of years old. Your journey includes a visit to Sarah Island, where your expert guide will regale you with stories of the convict life on the island as you walk through the settlement ruins. Day 5: Cradle Mountain (FB,D)

Depart Cradle Mountain this morning and head to the quaint town of Penguin on the North West Coast. Then enjoy the scenic drive along the rugged coast line to the village of Stanley nestled at the foot of the extinct volcanic plug ‘The Nut’. Continue to the Tarkine Forest and the Visitors Centre at Dismal Swamp. SCENIC ENRICH: Join your local guide as you walk along the cantilevered walkway suspended over the treetops to discover this unique environment and spot rare wildlife.Overnight Stay: Smithton
Day 7: Smithton - Launceston (FB,L)
Travel this morning to the quaint historic town of Ulverstone and then continue to historic Sheffield. On your Included tour you will learn about the history of this Kentish town dating back to the early 1800’s and discover the colourful murals decorating the town’s buildings and walls. Then in the charming city of Launceston enjoy your Included visit to the famous Cataract Gorge Reserve and ride the world’s longest single span chairlift. Take time to explore at leisure the network of easy walking trails before continuing to your hotel set on the marina at Launceston’s Seaport, the bustling restaurant hub of the city. Then at Ledgerwood stop to see the historic trees depicting carvings of the fallen World War 1 soldiers they were planted to commemorate. Continue to the East Coast of Tasmania and the small coastal towns of St Helen’s and Bicheno. SCENIC ENRICH: Be treated to a delicious lunch at the Sea Life Centre with breath taking views overlooking Waub’s Bay. Then take a spectacular drive along the stunning East Coast to Freycinet National Park where you will enjoy two nights to discover this untouched coastal wilderness. This luxurious lodge has a spectacular waterfront location just inside theNational Park overlooking Great Oyster Bay.

Day 10: Freycinet National Park (FB,HD)
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore this spectacular coastal wilderness area at your own pace. Marvel at the myriad of colours for which Freycinet is renowned - pink granite mountains, white sandy beaches and sparkling turquoise seawater. Take one of the many walks from the lodge, including a walk to see the sparkling blue waters of Wineglass Bay, enjoy the lodge facilities or simply relax and watch the sunset colours blaze over the bay. This morning we farewell Freycinet and continue on our journey as we visit some of Tasmania’s key historic and well known townships. Stop to see the convict-built Spikey Bridge and take a step back in time on your Included visit to the historic town of Richmond, Australia’s most delightful Georgian village where you will see Australia’s oldest bridge, dating back to 1825 and built by convict labour. Day 12: Port Arthur (FB,HD)
A highlight today is your Included full day tour to the World Heritage-listed Port Arthur historic site, set on the southern tip of the Tasman Peninsula. Stop and admire the spectacular geological rock formations of the famous Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen in the Tasman National Park. SCENIC ENRICH: At Port Arthur, your expert local guide will take you on a private in-depth tour of this former penal settlement. You will then have plenty of free time to explore at your own pace and take your Included cruise around the harbour. Return to Hobart late afternoon.
